The Mitchell library and Family History Centre houses major resources to trace family history mainly in Glasgow and Strathclyde but also throughout Scotland.

The Mitchell Library also houses the City’s Archives which documents the heritage of the City and the West of Scotland which includes poor law, church, school and many other archive collections which can help identify and make connections with your ancestors. The Glasgow Collection will help you discover all about the history and the development of the city.
