National Roll of the Great War, Other Ranks & Officers (WWI) (Military)

Nature of Source

Details of the careers and medals of about 150,000 WWI soldiers published in 14 volumes by the National Publishing Company as a commercial venture.

The majority of entries refer to combatants who survived the war, however its coverage is patchy and incomplete. Remember to look in the addendum pages for additional names. The volumes include some men and women who worked for the war effort in a civilian capacity. Also consult De Ruvigny's Roll of Honour 1914-1918 (obituaries & biographies) available online at www.thegenealogist.co.uk, www.familyrelatives.com and www.ancestry.co.uk.
